Yes. Dishout covers both restaurant delivery and grocery delivery from African grocery stores and markets in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Maplewood New Jersey, and Worcester Massachusetts. Partners stock a wide range of African products including breakfast foods, canned goods, rice, grains, flours, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, oils, frozen food, dairy, bakery items, drinks, and cosmetics.

Yes. Grocery partners including Danbaako Halal Market and Motherland Halal Market offer fresh halal products, including a dedicated butcher counter at Danbaako where meat is cut and weighed to order. Order through the Dishout app.

Yes. If you are outside a restaurant or store's immediate delivery range, long-distance delivery is available on request. Call customer care at (917) 957-5454 to arrange it.

Yes. Dishout connects you to restaurant partners who handle large catering orders in party-size trays — for weddings, birthdays, church events, corporate lunches, family reunions, and more. Order through the app, call (917) 957-5454, or email order@africandishout.com.

At least 24 hours in advance. Catering trays are preorder based, giving restaurant partners time to source the right ingredients and cook to scale.

African Dishout was founded by Jamila Zomah, a Ghanaian entrepreneur based in New Jersey, after she experienced the frustration of not being able to get African food delivered when she wanted it most. The platform has been operating for over eight years, starting in 2018 with a single restaurant in the Bronx.
