Eight years ago, African Dishout started with a single restaurant and one clear purpose: To bring exposure to independent African restaurants and grocery stores in the United States while connecting the diaspora to the food and culture that feels like home.
Today, we stand at over 250 store partners across the United States, and while the platform has grown, the soul behind it remains the same. Dishout has always been more than a delivery app. We are a tech brand built on culture and community. Eight years of that does not happen without listening.
Over the years, you have shared your experiences with us. The good and the honest ones. We took every word seriously and went back to the drawing board, not to patch what was broken, but to rebuild with intention. Finally, the new African Dishout app is here and it is launching. Every feature you are about to discover was built because this community asked for better, and we listened.
The app now shows live item updates for every store before you order. And if anything changes after, you can modify or request a refund directly in-app while it is still being processed
Now you can follow your order in real time, directly in-app, from the restaurant all the way to your door.
You decide what happens to your refund. Send it back to your original payment method, keep it as wallet credit in the app, or take it as a voucher. The choice is entirely yours.
